Princess Jellyfish (海月姫, Kuragehime^?)


Ok so this anime Princess Jellyfish has easily become one of my favorites, why? Well, because I love all of the artwork that this anime has and the story is just plain awesome and the main character Tsukimi Kurashita kinda reminds me of myself...which I think is why I have fallen in love with this anime...here is a description of the plot:

Princess Jellyfish centers around Amamizukan, an apartment building in Tokyo, where the only tenants are otaku women, and where no men are allowed. While each character has her own particular fixation, the protagonist is Tsukimi Kurashita, whose love of jellyfish stems from memories of her dead mother taking her to an aquarium and linking the lace-like tendrils of jellyfish to the dresses of princesses. Tsukimi hopes to becomes an illustrator and is an awkward girl terrified of social interaction, attractive people and the prospect of formal work. The other tenants of Amamizukan are the same, being mainly fujoshi, NEETs and refer to themselves as the "Amars" (nuns). Tsukimi meets the stylish Kuranosuke Koibuchi, the illegitimate son of a politician, who cross-dresses to avoid the obligations of politics and to feel closer to his mother. Tsukimi keeps the secret of his masculinity from her man-hating housemates, even as she is troubled by the intimacy of having a man in her room at times. Amamizukan's surrounding neighborhood is under threat of redevelopment, as opportunists aim to turn the quaint area into a more cosmopolitan region, with many of the buildings being demolished to make room for hotels and shopping centers. Although Amamizukan's tenants fear and loathe attractive people, they are helped by Kuranosuke who does not want to see Amamizukan destroyed.

Wigs!!

So yeah a few days ago I ordered a Wig from Gothic Lolita Wigs and it had finally came in the mail today and I thought I would share it with you guys


 So the wig that I had bought was one from their Empress Collection and they had all sorts of colors that I really liked but I ended up choosing Milk Tea...why, well for one I just really liked the name Milk Tea...and two well I used to be blond way back when so I kinda knew that the color would look decent on me...

But anywhos...the wig was 46.00 and it was FREE SHIPPING....Whoo Hoo ヽ(*⌒∇⌒*)ﾉ...and to be quite honest this is my 1st wig that i've ever bought and now I have a feeling that there are defiantly going to be more in the future now ^_^.  But if anyone is interested in buying any wigs I would really check out Gothic Lolita Wigs!!

Death Note

So recently I've been seeing a lot of people talk a bout this anime Death Note and so I though well hey maybe I need to check this out since I've been hearing about it a lot...so I just started to watch it yesterday and....I cant believe I haven't heard of this anime sooner!! Its just so different than what I'm used to watching and its just so detailed and thought out and its just plain awesome!! So I decided I would post something about the Anime if there is anyone that has not heard about it...

Light Yagami is an intelligent young adult who resents crime and corruption in the world. His life undergoes a drastic change when he discovers the Death Note, a notebook that contains five written instructions:

• The human whose name is written in this notebook will die.
• This notebook will not take effect unless the writer has the subject's face in their mind when writing his/her name. Therefore, people sharing the same name will not be affected.
• If the cause of death is written within 40 seconds of writing the subject's name, it will happen.
• If the cause of death is not specified, the subject will simply die of a heart attack.
• After writing the cause of death, the details of the death should be written in the next 6 minutes and 40 seconds.

There are many other rules that are revealed as the story develops, usually in the form of sequence breaks in between scenes. After several experiments with the Death Note, Light realises the notebook's authenticity and encounters the previous owner, a shinigami called Ryuk. Light explains to Ryuk his plan of exterminating all the criminals in the world, until there are only people who he has judged to be honest and kind. Once he finishes this, he will begin his reign as the god of this new world.

Manga \(^-^)/

So I went out to good old Barnes & Noble today and I got a new manga (well not new, but new to me), and as soon as I read the descripton on the back I knew instantly that I was going to love it. The series is called The Gentlemen's Alliance Cross. I will post the picture of the 1st manga and the discription below.

In return for a business loan of 50 million yen, the prestigious Kamiya family gave their daughter Haine away to the Otomiya family. Haine, now an Otomiya, is appointed to the student council of the exclusive Imperial Academy, a private school for the aristocracy. Even though Haine is of proper lineage to be on the council, she finds herself struggling to find her place among the many secrets of its elite members, especially those of the president who holds her heart--Shizumasa Tōgū, aka "the Emperor."

So far I am only on the volume three but its really starting to get to the really good stuff already, so if you have not read it yet I would recommend it...and if you read manga or watch anime please feel free to leave a comment telling me what you've read or watched that you really liked...OK?? ^_^

Hello

Hello, well this is my first blog...ever... so I guess I'll start off with doing a little about me...My name is Shelby. I am 20 years old. My birthday is Sep 9th. I live in a small town called Guthrie. By small I mean a population of roughly 10,191 people according to the 2010 census which I'm sure has changed by now. I am currently working as a CSR for a local telephone company. I currently live by myself with my almost one year old cat Yoshi. Well I guess I'll tell you my hobbies and such. I love to watch anime...which I normally don't tell people that because they look at me funny or make fun of me when I do tell them so I've just shut my trap about it ever since I was a kid...I've always loved it plain and simple. But now I've come to realize that "Hey this is what I like and if you don't like it that's cool. But whatever you do, do not dare call it cartoons" because I'm sure a lot of people will say it is because its 'animated' but no there is a difference. End of story. So now that's out of the way, I also love to read books and manga. I also enjoy playing video games, I have a Xbox 360 and my favorite games are Assassins Creed, Bioshock, Fable, and some of the Call of Duty games. Hmm...what else...oh my favorite food is Fried Rice...oh my goodness how I love Fried rice...well now i guess I'll tell you what this blog will consist of. Basically it's going to be a little bit of everything I've mentioned already. Anime, Books, Manga, Video Games, Food maybe. Who knows just whatever comes to mind. Just to let you guys know here is a pic of me so you know what I look like..hopefully I look normal but who knows what other people think...ha ha ^_^

P.S. this pic is a little over a year old so I should prob get it updated but I'll do that later.
